Nigerian student in the Philippines, arrested for allegedly hitting a worker


A Nigerian national was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, May 10 after he allegedly hit an employee of the school he is enrolled at in Cebu City, Philippines.
According to the prefect of the school, Ret. Supt. Edilberto CastaƱeda, the Nigerian, Godwin Rimamchirika Samuel, 24, a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering student at University of CEBU, became angry when the office in the school that handles Nigerian students, did not release his Training Center Certificate.



Samuel allegedly barged into the office and demanded that he be given the certificate but when the office staffer, Antonette Ancit, told him he had to pay for it first, Samuel allegedly got irked.
 
Based on the police report, Samuel allegedly tried to slap Ancit in the face but Ancit managed to parry the hit. Samuel allegedly tried to hit her the second time and when she tried to avoid it again, she got hit in her arm instead.

The victim, Ancit told The FREEMAN a formal complaint is being prepared against Samuel.
